What is virtualization

Virtualization is a technology that allows you to run multiple operating systems on one physical server.

Imagine that you have three physical servers. One hosts mail, the second hosts a website, and the third hosts corporate applications. Everything seems logical. But each server is used at approximately 30%, which is only part of its working potential. This is how most companies used to work.
